How a terrace is built
Layer by layer
The membrane or coating is the barrier. The primer bonds it to the slab, and the sloped screed and tiles above protect it from sun and foot traffic. Skip a layer and the roof starts leaking again within a few monsoons.

What a treated surface does
Water beads up and rolls away.
A properly applied coating stops water soaking into the concrete. It sits on top as droplets, runs off to the drain, and your slab stays dry underneath.
